Section 1.0 About Us

AliumBlue is a niche partnership of experienced regulated infrastructure sector specialists, providing expert advice to large infrastructure organisations in road, rail, energy, and water. Our Partners are a group of people with a common ethic and complimentary experiences, we work as a collective to offer professional services at a strategic level to support clients in better decision making. We apply and share our knowledge of strategic and regulatory planning, risk and operational management, governance and best practice with our clients. 

Section 2.0 About this document

This document sets out our approach to environmental management and sustainability. Our approach is aligned with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental management systems — Requirements with guidance for use) and selected UN Sustainable Development Goals.  

Section 3.0 Our Environment Commitments 

We are dedicated to the following principles:

Protecting the Environment: We actively engage in eco-friendly practices and encourage our clients to adopt similar measures.

Preventing Pollution: We strive to reduce pollution and assist our clients in achieving the same.

Monitoring Environmental Impact: We identify and monitor significant environmental aspects, including:

• Business Travel: Evaluating travel modes, tracking mileage, and reducing travel where possible.
• Electricity Use: Opting for green electricity suppliers whenever feasible.
• Carbon Emissions: Aiming to lower our carbon footprint and exploring opportunities for offsetting emissions.
• Paper Usage: Utilising 100% recycled paper, minimising printing needs, and leveraging digital tools for invoicing and communication.

Setting Environmental Objectives: We establish goals related to our significant environmental aspects.

Compliance and Improvement: We adhere to all legal and other relevant requirements and are committed to the continuous improvement of our management system and the services we offer.

Section 4.0 Alignment with UN Sustainable Development

In our consultancy services, we will consider the following UN Sustainable Development Goals to guide our advice and actions:

Section 5.0 Client Collaboration

We will work collaboratively with our clients to promote and implement environmentally sustainable practices, sharing our knowledge and expertise to help them achieve their sustainability goals.

Section 6.0 Communication and Reporting  

We will communicate our environmental policy to all stakeholders, partners, and our associates. We will provide regular updates on our progress and achievements. We will maintain transparency in our actions and report on our environmental performance as part of our commitment to accountability.

Section 7.0 Review and Update

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in regulations, best practices, and our organisational goals. We will ensure that our policy remains relevant and effective in achieving our environmental commitments.

This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis.
